***************** Permanent Mission of Chile Organization of American States
Washington, D.C., 28 October 2010 N. 299
Dear Mr. Gutierrez I have the pleasure to greet you in order to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated October 14 and to express my gratitude, that of the Government of Chile, and of all the officials at this Mission, for your expression of solidarity and best wishes for each of the 33 miners rescued in Yacimiento San Jose, in the northern area of Chile. Undoubtedly there were lond and difficult months of preparation by many people and organizations, but, thanks to the support and assistance from so many; the long-awaited rescue was a success. As was noted yesterday by the Foreign Minister of my country when measuring the achievement, it was a history of humanity told in many languages. I reiterate once more our appreciation for your support and that of the Staff Association of the Organization of American States in this noble cause. Dario Paya Ambassador
Mr. Rene L. Gutierrez President OAS Staff Association Organization of American States 1889 F. Street, N.W., Suite 838-A Washington, D.C. 20006
