Donations for the reconstruction of historic landmark in Grenada In September 2004, Hurricane Ivan struck the island of Grenada and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in St. George’s, one of Grenada’s prized historic landmarks, was severely damaged during the hurricane. To date major steps have been made in the rebuilding process at a cost of over US$ 2 million. Reconstruction of the church is now nearing completion. Funds are now being sought to purchase pews for the renovated building. Staff members are being asked to contribute to this reconstruction effort by making donations to the account 200-663 in the OAS Staff Federal Credit Union.
