DONATIONS
FOR THE VENEZUELAN PEOPLE
Many of our friends and colleagues at the
OAS are from Venezuela. From them, we hear about their daily struggles
to buy food and medicine for their loved ones and our hearts truly go out to
them. After the success of the previous
campaigns of the Staff Association to raise money for the people of Antigua
and Barbuda and Mexico and the campaign to buy food and supplies for those in
Dominica, all of whom were victims of natural disasters, many have urged for
a similar campaign for Venezuela. In solidarity and support of the people of
Venezuela, the OAS Staff Association is spearheading a donation drive,
beginning on February 20th and running until March 1.
Starting Tuesday, you can make your donation at the GSB-622 (Leslie
Alvarez) or MNB and ADM-226 (Maria Elena Cruz). We encourage you to donate the
following items: Multivitamin for children Multivitamin for adults Iron Calcium Folic acid Pediasure Enterex for diabetics Children's Tylenol Formula for babies of any age Ensure Toothpaste Neosporin Cream of rice Compotes Antiallergic medicine for children
(Benadryl) Ibuprofen (Motrin) Omeprazole We have also
opened an account, #200663 - OAS Staff Assoc. / Disaster Relief #1 at
the OAS Credit Union and urge staff to make a donation, which will be used
for the purchase of the items listed above. These goods will be
delivered to Venezuela through Vision Democrática and the NGO Acción
