OAS
STAFF ASSOCIATION JOINS DC FIGHT AGAINST HUNGER
The OAS Staff
Association is teaming up with American Airlines at Washington
Dulles Airport and the Capital Area Food Bank in the fight against
hunger.
Approximately
633,000 residents of the D.C. Metropolitan Area experience or are
at risk of hunger. That number includes both children and senior
citizens. The OAS Staff Association is committed to making a
difference by joining with the “We Know and We Care” initiative at
American Airlines and the Capital Food Bank to help fill an
aircraft cargo compartment with food donations and present it to
the CAFB on April 9th, 2009, in front of the American
Airlines Cargo Building at Washington Dulles Airport.
We have placed
donation containers in the cafeteria at the GSB Building, and in
the vending machine areas of the Main Building and the
Administrative Building to collect food donations. A list of
recommended non- perishable items is posted on each container.
The donations will be collected on Monday, April 7, 2009.
We need the help
of everyone to meet this challenge and make the Food Drive a
success.
Thank you for your
support!
