National Offices Incentive Award
The Staff
Committee has adopted some specific measures and created
additional incentives in order to foster greater involvement
of OAS staff in the National Offices.
One of the
adopted measures is the annual raffling, among candidates in
the National Offices who comply with established eligibility
guidelines, of a trip to OAS headquarters to participate in
the annual Staff Awards Ceremony. The prize trip covers
travel and per diem for the winner from his or her duty
station to Washington, D.C. and back.
Mr.
Domingo Vizcaino of the Office of the General Secretariat in
the Dominican Republic won this year’s prize. It gave us
great satisfaction to see Domingo go up on stage last week
Monday to receive from the Secretary General and the
Assistant Secretary General his award for 35 years of
uninterrupted service to the OAS.
We invite
all staff members of the National Offices to contribute to
the Staff Association so that they can be eligible for this
benefit. We also invite staff members at headquarters to
become contributing Staff Association members and thus enjoy
the other benefits offered by the OAS Staff Association.

Premio de Incentivo Oficinas Nacionales
El Comité del Personal ha adoptado algunas medidas
específicas y ha creado incentivos adicionales con el fin de
promover la participación de los funcionarios de nuestra
Organización en las Oficinas Nacionales.
Una de las medidas adoptadas es el sorteo anual, entre los
candidatos que cumplen con los criterios de elegibilidad
establecidos, de un viaje a la sede de la OEA para
participar en la Ceremonia de Entrega de Premios. El premio
cubre los gastos del viaje y viáticos para el ganador o
ganadora desde el país en el que se desempeña hasta la sede
de la OEA en Washington, D.C. y su regreso.
El Sr. Domingo Vizcaíno de la Oficina de la Secretaría
General en República Dominicana resultó ganador del viaje
para este año. Nos dio mucha satisfacción ver a Domingo
subir al escenario el lunes de la semana pasada y recibir
del Secretario General y el Secretario General Adjunto el
premio por 35 años de ininterrumpido servicio a la OEA.
Invitamos a todos los funcionarios de las Oficinas
Nacionales a contribuir a la Asociación del Personal, para
que puedan ser elegibles para este beneficio. Invitamos
también a todos los funcionarios de la sede para que se
conviertan en miembros contribuyentes de la Asociación y por
lo tanto puedan disfrutar de los otros beneficios ofrecidos
