WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL STAFF ASSOCIATIONS (WISA)
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

The Staff Committee is pleased to announce that today, June 16, the President of the Staff Association,  Maria Teresa Mellenkamp, signed a Memo of Understanding with other staff associations of international organizations headquartered in Washington, D.C. (WISA). 

This important document was also signed by the Presidents of the Staff Association’s of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Pan American Health Organization, and the Asian Development Bank. 

The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is a product of the recognition and need to strengthen communications through inter-organizational cooperation, and the need to efficiently serve the staff through the development of joint programs and plans. 

The main objective of this MOU is to implement cooperation and collaborative initiatives that will provide joint community activities, as well as increase the cooperation on issues of common interest.

MEMORANDUM DE ENTENDIMIENTO

El Comité del Personal se complace en informar que hoy 16 de junio la Presidenta de la Asociación, María Teresa Mellenkamp, firmó un Memorándum de Entendimiento con otras Asociaciones de Personal de Organismos Internacionales con Sede en Washington (WISA). 

Este importante documento ha sido firmado asimismo por los Presidentes de las Asociaciones de Personal del Fondo Monetario Internacional, Banco Mundial, Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo, Organización Panamericana de la Salud y el Banco Asiático de Desarrollo. 

La firma del Memorándum de Entendimiento surge del reconocimiento y  necesidad de fortalecer la comunicación por medio de la cooperación inter-organizacional, y de servir más eficientemente las necesidades de los funcionarios a través del desarrollo de programas y planes conjuntos.

El objetivo principal del MOU es implementar iniciativas de cooperación y colaboración que provean a la comunidad de funcionarios servicios varios, así como también incrementar la cooperación en temas que son de interés común.
