The Joint Committee on Health is an
advisory body to the Secretary General on matters related to the health,
dental, and life insurance programs for OAS General Secretariat staff.
The Joint Committee on Health is composed
of:
A chair appointed by the Secretary General, on the
recommendation of the principal members of the committee, who shall serve
for two years and may be reappointed. In the event of the Chairs
resignation, the principal members shall recommend to the Secretary
General the appointment of a new chair.
Two principal and two alternate members appointed by
the Secretary General, who shall serve for two years and may be
reappointed.
Two principal and two alternate members appointed by
the Staff Association, who shall serve for two years and may be
reappointed.
Two principal and two alternate members appointed by
the Association of Retirees, who shall serve for two years and may be
reappointed.
